The members of StageFlight have
known each other for many years on a professional and social level. When we are
not performing, we work as engineers in the aircraft industry. However,
StageFlight is an important outlet for our first love - music.
The highpoint of the band's career
so far has been to provide the entertainment for a large corporate event at the
Cardiff Coal Exchange. This prestigious venue can accommodate up to 1100 people,
and has been home to artists such as Van Morrison, Tom Jones, Jools Holland and
the Manic Street Preachers. Click

Coal Exchange website.
Simon was a regular winner in both local and
national eisteddfods during his youth, and later performing religious
compositions as part of a duo that toured churches throughout Wales during the
1980’s. Later stage performances saw Simon singing with a U2 ‘tribute
band’ during his time at University.
Ian
won his first piano performance competition aged 9 at the ‘Top Rank’ in Swansea
and has since gone on to play in numerous outfits throughout the 1980’s and
90’s, such as ‘The Press’, ‘Baroc’, ‘Matbros’ and ‘The Dreamers’. He is
also an accomplished solo performer, having presented a concert at Dyffryn
Gardens and played Jazz piano in a variety of pubs, nightclubs, and restaurants
over the years. Ian’s most recent high profile success was as a finalist
composer in the televised ‘Cān I Cymru’ competition on S4C.
Bryan
has been playing the guitar since the age of 14, and played in several bands in
the Chester area before moving to South Wales. Bryan's style is blues / rock
inspired, with echoes of his heroes - Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour. He
is currently studying for the London College of Music examination in Electric
Guitar.
